Arizona can have its 18th first-round selection in the NBA draft if Grant Jerrett or Solomon Hill are among the first 30 selected tomorrow, but the likelihood exists they will be taken in the second round.

ESPN NBA draft insider Chad Ford rates Jerrett as worthy of a late first-round selection but Ford omits him from his mock draft of the first round.

A lack of overall talent in this year’s draft is one reason why Jerrett might go late in the first round. It appears Jerrett and Hill will at least be chosen in the second round if mock drafts carry any value.

After no selections in the NBA draft last year, the Arizona program will at least be in a position to boast about a couple more tomorrow if Jerrett and Hill have their name called.

Arizona is tied with Duke and Kentucky for the most draft picks (34) since 1988.
