Links, information and stats of former Arizona players in the NFL, all in one place:

— One Jacksonville Web site, Sports Illustrated-affiliate Black & Teal, proclaims that former UA quarterback Matt Scott is looking good enough in camp to be a possible starter later this season. Scott and the Jaguars host former teammate Nick Foles and the Eagles Saturday. Jacksonville quarterback coach Frank Scelfo coached Foles and Scott at Arizona in the same capacity.

— Foles, who emerged in a QB competition with Scott at Arizona, said he sleeps well at night concerning his current battle with Eagles veteran Michael Vick for the Philadelphia starting assignment.

— Houston linebacker Brooks Reed has has been slowed by a bruised knee. Texans linebacker coach Reggie Herring had this to say (as quoted by RantSports.com) about Reed, who is in his third season in the NFL: “I’ll say this, his tenacity, his play speed, his play strength—he carries himself like a true pro.” Reed had 27 tackles, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and three sacks last season.

— The Chicago Tribune reports that guard Eben Britton has rediscovered a passion for football with the Bears.

USA Today reported that in Robert Griffith III’s first 11-on-11 drills in camp this fall last Wednesday, he threw an interception “into the bread basket of some first-year linebacker named Ricky Elmore.” That would be the former UA defensive end who is trying to make the Redskins’ roster. He has yet to record any stats in the preseason. The Redskins play tonight against the Steelers (who include former UA teammate Robert Golden at cornerback).

— Former UA cornerback Trevin Wade is having an impressive preseason with Cleveland, according to reports. DawbPoundDaily.com had this to say about Wade: “Trevin Wade continues to make some plays and show that he is a viable player in this scheme and he still seems like he is could surprise people with where he ends up on the depth chart. He was drafted to be a nickel and may end up as the primary nickel.”
