Links, information and stats of former Arizona players in the NFL, all in one place:

— Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly ended the speculation this morning by naming veteran Michael Vick his starter over former UA quarterback Nick Foles heading into the regular season, although the Eagles have two preseason games remaining. “I think Mike is ahead right now,” Kelly explained to reporters. “I think Nick made it very difficult.” No doubt about it, Foles has a place in Kelly’s offense after impressive performances against New England and Carolina in the preseason. Many thought Foles would be traded by now. Kelly explained recently that he does not need a dual-threat athlete to run his offense and that Foles is suited to handle the role.

— Former Arizona receiver Mike Thomas is looking for a team after Detroit waived him yesterday. Thomas was not a good fit for the Lions after being traded there by Jacksonville last season. He caught only five passes in nine games with the Lions last year. He caught 158 passes in his first three seasons out of the slot position in Jacksonville. Thomas will receive $1 million guaranteed from the Lions this year.

— Former Arizona center Kyle Quinn, a non-drafted free agent with the Cardinals, was also released yesterday. Quinn started 22 games over his last two seasons with the Wildcats. He signed with Philadelphia after going undrafted in April, but was released before training camp began.

— Former Arizona defensive end Ricky Elmore, now a free agent linebacker trying to earn a roster spot with the Redskins, has looked impressive in camp. Reports indicate he has intercepted Robert Griffith III and Pat White in scrimmages. Elmore recorded his first tackle of the preseason last night against Pittsburgh.
