Comedian actor Bill Murray apparently bleeds cardinal red and navy blue. He showed his partiality for the Arizona Wildcats as a guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay this morning. He picked Arizona over Utah tonight although that game was not on the board for ESPN’s Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit to predict.

His son Luke was a graduate assistant under Sean Miller in Miller’s first season in Tucson.

Murray also took a jab at Arizona’s arch-rival ASU (see my Tweets to the left).

Murray’s support of Linda Ronstadt’s entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame shows that he knows Tucson’s background. Ronstadt, 67, is a native Tucsonan and she resides in the city.

She is on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot along with Peter Gabriel, Nirvana, Cat Stevens, Yes, LL Cool J and the Replacements.
