— Arizona had two fumbles lost while Utah had two interceptions. The Wildcats are 3-1-2 in the turnover battle this season. Arizona quarterback B.J. Denker had a streak of 80 consecutive passes without an interception before having two at Washington in rainy conditions Sept. 28. He has since put together a string of 74 straight passing attempts without an interception against USC and Utah.

— The Wildcats fell just short of 10 plays with at least 12 yards. Ka’Deem Carey’s 44-yard touchdown run late in the game gave the UA nine plays of at least a dozen yards.

— For the fifth consecutive game, Arizona managed four drives of at least eight plays, including a 17-play drive for the second straight game. The UA scored two touchdowns on two of the drives against Utah, but the two others ended with the Wildcats turning the ball over on downs at the Utah 9 and 35 yard line.

— Arizona was a respectable 12 of 20 on third-down conversions against Utah but failed in its three fourth-down attempts.

Marquis Flowers’ 14-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter ended a three-game drought of the defense not scoring after having three touchdowns against NAU and UNLV in the first two games.

— For the first time this season the UA failed to track down a kickoff returner inside the 20-yard line. Arizona has pinned the opponent within the 20-yard line on kickoffs eight times season.

HELMET STICKER CRITERIA

The Wildcats earn cat claws for the Arizona helmet if they achieve these following marks. This grading system is stringent. The Wildcats must achieve their goal. If it states the UA must achieve “more than” a certain mark, they must pass that mark. This helmet will be updated weekly as the Wildcats attempt to fill the helmet with the cat claws:
