Steve Rivera produces another book about Arizona Wildcats basketball

Not to sound like a commercial but longtime Tucson sportswriter Steve Rivera has written yet another book about Arizona basketball called “Tales from the Arizona Wildcats Locker Room”, out just in time for the holidays.

It is Rivera’s fourth book about the Arizona Wildcats’ program. The three previous were about the UA’s 1996-97 championship season and historical perspective pieces called “Tales from the Arizona Wildcats Hardwood” and “The University of Arizona Basketball Vault: The History of the Wildcats.”

Rivera started covering the Wildcats in 1991 for the Tucson Citizen. He was the beat reporter until the newspaper folded its print operations in 2009.

He continues to write about Arizona Wildcats sports today with FoxSportsArizona.com.

Writing new, fresh angles about Arizona basketball is a difficult task because of the well-documented program. Writing three historical books about the program is not easy with this in mind. Rivera has been around enough and established many contacts to master that task.
