Jolly Saint Nick — Arizona’s version — is doing the Wildcats proud three times over this holiday season.

>> Former Arizona quarterback Nick Foles, the Wildcats’ career passing leader, is setting numerous NFL records this season with the Philadelphia and becoming a national sensation. NFL.com ran a story today listing Foles, the NFL’s top-rated passer, as one of three primary candidates for NFL MVP. Russell Wilson and Peyton Manning are the others.

>> Former UA placekicker Nick Folk has made an incredible 31 of 33 field-goal attempts with the New York Jets this season. He has yet to miss a point-after attempt in his seven-year NFL career, making all 267 attempts, which is an NFL record.

>> Arizona junior guard Nick Johnson was proclaimed as the MVP of the Wildcats to this point of the season by coach Sean Miller last night. Johnson is a steady leader with a team-high 16 points a game and 83.3 free-throw shooting percentage. “He’s been our most consistent player,” Miller said. “He does it on both ends. He’s done it game-in and game-out. … Nick right now through 13 games is outstanding. I wouldn’t trade any player in the country based on his performance alone. … Nick Johnson’s performance, I’d put against any guard in the country through 13 games.”
