AllSportsTucson.com’s inclusion of Southern Arizona high school sports information by Andy Morales and blogs by Arizona Wildcats basketball great Ernie McCray have tremendously enhanced the visibility of this Web site, the parent site of WildAboutAZCats.net.

The page views for the site improved from 6,611 in February 2013 to 19,707 last month, an increase of 198.1 percent. In September 2013, the page views were only 2,075. Therefore, the page views last month increased nearly 849 percent from only six months ago.

The site included Andy and Ernie last month after they agreed to continue their blogs that were first published by TucsonCitizen.com, which is unfortunately now only an archive site.

One common bond between all of three us: We grew up in Tucson and understand and appreciate the sports history and traditions of our town.

Periodically since 2009, when Arizona was in search of a head basketball coach, I have operated the site and published blogs mostly focusing on the Wildcat men’s basketball and football teams. I am very appreciative of the effort of Andy and Ernie to help put energy and additional value to the site. We strive to do more.

Make no mistake, this site is a grassroots operation without any significant funding. With high hopes comes plenty of hard work because nothing comes easy, nor should it. Respect should be earned through diligent and impassioned work and professionalism.

This site does not have advertising revenue other than Google Adsense, which is miniscule. Most of what we do is for the love of covering Arizona and Tucson-area sports and the athletes, coaches and administrators who make it all possible.

AllSportsTucson.com can improve in many areas. We have put an effort into correcting our mobile site flaws of a jumping screen. We have worked on improving the visual representation of the site.

Most importantly, we have worked tirelessly to provide information about the Arizona Wildcats and Tucson area-sports that can serve as a meaningful supplement to other worthy sources that report on the Wildcats or youth sports. I have always said the more information about what happens in Tucson, whether it be sports or news, etc., is something we should all welcome.
