NJCAA Division II First Team All-American

Former Tucson High basketball standout Raja Moreno-Ross became the fifth Pima Lady Aztec to be selected First Team All-American in seven years when the teams were announced on Thursday.

Only 10 players from throughout the country were placed on the first team.

Moreno-Ross started all 32 games this season, averaging almost 25 minutes, 13 points and nine rebounds per game. She also had 12 double-doubles on the season and was named First Team All-ACCAC and First Team All-Region I, Division II.

In an effort to recognize all for local prep stars who have gone on to achieve either academic and/or athletic awards at the next level, I will update this list. These are not high school awards but college and professional awards.

If you are aware of anything I have missed along the way please let me know. amoralesmytucson@yahoo.com
