Southern Arizona State Boys Golf Championships

Tucson High won the first boys title in 1939, and the Badgers have seven championships to their name, but they haven’t won one since 1960.

Thatcher surpassed Tucson in 1995 and is now sitting at 11 titles in a 14-year span. Dennis Martin led Thatcher to eight of those trophies from 1989-1998.

Canyon del Oro is in second place with nine. John Ruiz led CDO six titles in a seven-year span.

Steve Keller won five with Sahuarita from 1979-1984.

Boy’s championships began in 1939.
