With the start of the 2014 season for Arizona, tomorrow against UNLV, this site will bring you information of the games as they come and a light-hearted look at how Wilbur would handle the opponents mascot.
The idea for the drawings, the work of Las Vegas artist Mike Hanaoka, came from the old days of the Tucson Citizen and Arizona Daily Star when comic artist drew the mascots of the Tucson-area high school teams battling each other.
The accompanying slide show displays some of Hanaoka’s drawings last year. We hope you enjoy Mike’s work as much as we do.
