Arizona Wildcats Class of 2015 target Stephen Zimmerman, a 6’11” post player with range to his game from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High School, welcomed Arizona coach Sean Miller and assistant Book Richardson into his home last night.
It was not an introductory meeting. The Zimmermans know Arizona’s coaches well, especially Miller, who coached Zimmerman as part of the U.S. Under-18 national team this summer. It was a more of a question-and-answer session from both sides, Arizona’s coaches and the Zimmerman family.
“Really appreciate Arizona’s Coach Miller and Coach Book hanging out with us tonight. Great guys and a great program! Wonderful visit. #BearDown,” Zimmerman tweeted.
His mom, Lori, offered this tweet: “Great visit with @UACoachMiller and Coach Book. Awesome Q&A session! Looking forward to our visit! #BearDown.”
The Zimmmermans will visit the Arizona campus on homecoming weekend Nov. 7-8. The one-week fall signing period starts less than a week later on Nov. 12.
Miller and his staff welcome another post player, Beverly Hills (Calif.) High School’s Chance Comanche, this weekend. The 6’11” and 200-pound post player officially visited ASU last week. ASU and Arizona are in Comanche’s top five along with UCLA, North Carolina State and Connecticut.
Both Zimmerman and Comanche plan to take all of their official visits before making a determination, but with recruiting, you never know.
