Salpointe Catholic lineman Justin Holt, son of former Arizona football standout Julius Holt, reportedly helped a family in need in an overturned vehicle in California today.

The elder Holt posted on his Facebook page that Justin, a highly-recruited Class of 2016 player who is drawing interest from Arizona most other Pac-12 schools, came to an aid of the family “without hesitation”.

“Very proud of my son as we were traveling to California for Thanksgiving we witness a Expedition pulling a 29 foot trailer,” Julius Holt writes. “Both the trailer and expedition over turned and without hesitation my Justin jump out our vehicle and ran to pull the three people out to safety with the aid of others and myself.

“He showed courage, poise concern and strength supporting the grandmother the last person in the vehicle until she was ready to be pulled from the wreckage.”

The elder Holt added that the mother, son and grandmother in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were thankful of Justin’s effort to help.

“The mother, son and grandmother praised Justin for this heroic act,” Julius Holt writes.

The Holt family is in California to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow.
