T.J. McConnell noted in the press conference that he is struggling shooting the ball and that he will keep shooting to shoot his way out of it. He is shooting 28 percent from three-point range. Arizona coach Sean Miller anticipates by the end of the season that McConnell will improve to the high 30’s in terms of three-point shooting percentage.

Hopefully Ka’Deem Carey can come out of this season knowing he will be used more in the future. The former Arizona running back spelled Matt Forte with only one rushing attempt for 4 yards tonight in Chicago’s 31-15 loss to New Orleans. He also had three catches for 39 yards, which exemplifies his athletic ability out of the backfield. The Bears’ season is lost. Give him more touches.

Big-time props from an Arizona player who proved over a course of a four-year career that he is the best defender in Wildcat history. Scooby Wright III can stake his claim as the best in the next year or two. Ricky Hunley, by the way, is the defensive line coach for Memphis, which is 9-3 with a six-game winning streak and headed to Miami, Fla., to play BYU in the Miami Beach Bowl.

Pretty good, Boise State. Not bad, Arizona.

McConnell went so far as to say Parker Jackson-Cartwright is one of the best point guards in the nation, especially for his size (5’10” and 160).

Miller gave the Wildcats the day off yesterday. Kaleb Tarczewski decided to get spiritual.

Fiesta Bowl officials are hoping Boise State brings more fans with them than what showed up at this basketball game.

May be a move thinking of Nick Foles’ future rather than the Eagles’ chances this season.

Former Arizona receiver Garic Wharton had a huge catch late in the Wildcats’ dramatic comeback against Nevada in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 15, 2012, a day (and night) to remember.
