Palo Verde standout Sydni Stallworth scored five quick points Thursday night against Santa Rita and the game was stopped to present Stallworth with the game ball.

Stallworth went into the game needing the five points to reach 2,000 in her career and she’s not finished. She needs about 25 more to break into the top 20 in the history of girl’s basketball in Arizona.

Yes, she’s that good – on and off the court.

“I didn’t think I would be in this position,” said Stallworth. “I was actually caught off guard when they first told me how close I was. I’m happy I could do something like this.”

We will post more on what Stallworth has accomplished when she breaks into the top 20.
