Arizona’s group of drafted players has exceeded the collective $1 billion mark in career earnings in the NBA.
Since the 1988 draft, former Wildcats have won 14 NBA titles, including Finals MVP Andre Iguodala of the Golden State Warriors this year. Steve Kerr, drafted in 1987 in the second round by Phoenix, became Arizona’s first former player to win an NBA title as a head coach with Golden State.
The drafted group since 1988 have also made six All-Star appearances.
Awards earned other than Iguodala’s Finals MVP honor: Rookie of the Year (Damon Stoudamire), a Sixth Man of the Year (Jason Terry) and a Most Improved Player (Gilbert Arenas).
