For the second straight week, the three Lovett/Fontenette cousins scored at least a touchdown for the their respective teams. All three are juniors
Edwin Lovett, Pusch Ridge
Father is former University of Arizona defensive back/wide receiver/kick returner Lamar Lovett. Lamar Lovett is a pastor in Tucson and is an assistant coach at Pusch Ridge.
Isaiah Lovett, Mountain View
Father is Lamont Lovett, former Arizona running back and is the current radio color commentator for the Wildcat football games on Sports Radio 1290, the official Arizona station.
Shawn Fontenette, Cholla
Lamar Lovett’s nephew. Part of the resurgent Cholla offense.
Fontenette collected two touchdowns in Cholla’s 55-0 win over Catalina and he scored once against Rincon (48-14).
Edwin Lovett caught a 50-yard touchdown in Pusch Ridge’s 28-14 loss to Benson and he rushed for a touchdown in the Lion’s 50-6 win over Bisbee.
Isaiah Lovett scored three touchdowns in Mountain View’s 51-6 win over La Jolla Community and two more in the 40-37 win over Horizon.
