Jake Burton, El Cajon (Calif.) Granite Hills defensive end: The senior was on the winning end of a 25-24 victory against rival Steele Canyon on Friday night.

Burton talked earlier this week to Prep Pigskin Report about his commitment to Arizona.

Bryson Cain, Temecula (Calif.) Oak Park offensive tackle: His team fell to 0-3 on Friday night with a 37-27 loss to Rancho Verde.

Jacob Colacion, La Habra (Calif.) linebacker: Colacion’s La Habra team lost to Mission Viejo (Calif.) 24-14 to fall to 2-1 but he made an impressive pick when the Diablos had a fourth down play at the Highlanders’ 18.

Michael Eletise, Honololu Kaiser, offensive lineman: As mentioned before, Eletise’s Kaiser team improved to 2-3 with its win over McKinley.

Eletise posted this CBS spot on his Twitter page referencing his interview about the “Marcus Mariota Effect” on recruiting in Hawaii:

Isaiah Hayes, Calabasas (Calif.), safety: Hayes is in the foreground of this Tweet he sent out yesterday before Calabasas defeated West Adams 48-28 to improve to 3-0.

Gavin Robertson, Auburn (Wash.) Mountainview, safety: He had three tackles and deflected a pass in the Lions’ 55-14 over Steliacoom on Friday night.

Markell Utsey, Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, defensive tackle: Was part of a Parkview defense that shutout Fair 41-0 on Friday night. Parkview has outscored its first two opponents 97-7.

Jabari Watson, Fontana (Calif.) Summit, defensive tackle: A part of Summit’s 2-0 team after Friday’s 49-28 win over Miller.

Rivals.com reported this about Watson on Friday:

“Three-star defensive lineman Jabari Watson has been committed to Arizona since July 1 and the Fontana Summit recruit doesn’t think he will make any changes. Watson said he would be open to taking some other official visits but no other schools are really recruiting him since they know he’s basically set with the Wildcats. He doesn’t have a date yet for an Arizona official trip.”
