Devon Modster engineered a comeback that resulted in Tesoro beating Upland 30-28 on a 23-yard field goal by Hayden McGinnis.
After Upland took a 28-21 lead, Modster completed a 71-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 28-27 with less than three minutes left. The two-point conversion pass failed.
Tesoro forced Upland to punt the ball.
Tesoro started its winning drive in Upland territory at the 48. After an incomplete pass, Modster connected with Carter Jaenichen for a 17-yard gain. Later, on third-and-2 from the 12, Graeden Sharpe gained a first down to the 7. Two plays later, McGinnis made his game-winning kick.
