Five off-the-beaten-path storylines of NAU Lumberjacks at Arizona Wildcats

[tps_title]Remember Aaron Pflugrad?[/tps_title]

The former ASU wide receiver and graduate assistant is in his first season as NAU’s wide receivers coach.

He returns to Arizona Stadium tomorrow after watching from the sidelines last November when the Wildcats defeated ASU to claim the Pac-12 title.

Pflugrad also lost his last game against Arizona in 2011 at Tempe despite catching three passes for 77 yards.

One of his best memories of visiting Arizona was likely in 2010 when ASU won 30-29 in overtime, the infamous game for Arizona when Alex Zendejas could not convert on two extra-point attempts.

As a player with Oregon in 2007 (before transferring to ASU in 2009), Pflugrad lost to the Wildcats at Arizona Stadium. That’s the game Arizona upset No. 2 Oregon 34-24 on a Thursday night. Pflugrad caught two passes for 12 yards for the Ducks.
