This season two of my colleagues — Steve Rivera of GOAZCATS.com and Anthony Gimino of TucsonNewsNow.com — and I will pick the outcomes of Pac-12 games. Odds listed are of the Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas. …

Many people just can’t figure out USC these days, not even the head coach, Steve Sarkisian.

Steve Rivera, Anthony Gimino and yours truly each picked the 17th-ranked Trojans to beat unranked Washington in the L.A. Memorial Coliseum on Thursday. Mine was the lone pick of the Huskies covering the spread as 17-point underdogs. But I believed there was no way Chris Petersen’s young team would go in there and defeat a USC team with such high expectations entering the season.

It turned out Washington won 17-12 making it four times under Sarkisian that the Trojans have lost as double-digit favorites.

Washington’s cover puts me at 7-4 against the spread with our Pac-12 picks. Rivera is next at 6-5 and Gimino stands at 5-6.

Four games are on the schedule today with all home teams favored, which is dangerous. Keep in mind that over the last two years, visiting teams have experienced far more success.

Pac-12 teams are 9-2 in road conference games this season. In the last two seasons, road teams in Pac-12 games are an amazing 42-23 (.646).
