AZ Junior Fall Classic: Salpointe’s Manny Villa competes in academic game plus complete schedule

Salpointe junior Manny Villa-Lizarraga took part in the Junior All-Academic baseball game last night in Peoria. The game is part of the AZ Junior Fall Classic taking place this weekend. Teams from Canada and several states are taking part in the recruiting event.

Villa went 1-3 and played second base for Team Black. Team Black defeated Team Gray 4-3.


Once again, 520 Elite from Tucson will be competing at the Fall Classic. Six batters will get a chance each half inning and no scores will be kept due to the recruiting aspect of the classic.
