Friday night games with playoff implications
Division II
Tucson 27, Sunnyside 20, OT
The Badgers win the Section I title while the Blue Devils most likely secured an at-large berth.
Sahuaro 49, Buena 15
Ranked 18th, the Cougars needed to win and have several teams lose including Tucson Sahuaro pulled off the win but not much help from other teams.
Cienega 34, Salpointe 31, OT
Salpointe came in ranked 13th. The Lancers will sweat out the bracket show.
Ironwood Ridge 21, Mountain View 20, OT
The Mountain Lions had several chances to win this game but it looks like they will miss the playoffs. Ironwood Ridge hoping to stay in the top four.
Division III
Sabino 35, Marana 28
Marana still has slim hopes due to strength of schedule. Only playing nine games could cost the Sabercats a top eight seed.
Nogales 21, Safford 7
Marana’s loss helps the Apaches out. We shall see.
