McConnell’s impact — Coach on the floor.
The adage that a point guard is an extension of the coach was never more the case than how T.J. McConnell captained Sean Miller’s team. He let teammates have it and he provided encouragement. He backed it up with the way he played improving from when he transferred in 2012-13 to his junior season and then senior year. He is one of Arizona’s most noted development stories now with an active role with the Philadelphia 76ers.
