Lyons’ impact — Necessary point guard fill-in
Sean Miller was in need of a point guard with the failed Josiah Turner experiment. Mark Lyons, who played both guard spots at Xavier, became available as a graduate transfer. He bridged the gap at point guard before T.J. McConnell took over two seasons ago. Lyons provided Miller leadership, clutch performances and a steady hand at point guard.
