Ironwood Ridge sophomore defensive tackle Brayden Smith has been invited to take part in the U.S. Army National Combine to be held in San Antonio on Jan. 7, 2016.

The 6-foot-3 225-pound lineman played in the Adidas Freshman All-American Bowl last year. Smith is the top defensive underclassman on the Nighthawks roster with 19 tackles.

Held annually in association with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the U.S. Army National Combine is the first opportunity for the nation’s top underclassmen to demonstrate their physical talent and compete against one another before high school and college football’s top scouting organizations as well as the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee.
