Alexis Cortez moves to 11th on career scoring list & Lexy Ram is 13 points from 1,000

Tucson High senior Alexis Cortez scored 22 points Thursday night which puts her at 2,201 career points. She passed former Palo Verde and current Pima standout Sydni Stallworth (2,182) and former ASU standout Dymond Simon (2,189).

Cortez currently holds the 11th spots on the career scoring list, 49 points behind former University of Arizona guard Brooke Jackson (2,250).

Sahuaro senior Sydney Harden is now 78 points behind (1,544 to 1,466) Cashala Thompson for the top spot in Cougar history.

Ironwood Ridge senior Lexy Ram has 987 career points. The Nighthawks host Basha Friday night.

Tanque Verde senior Hailey Goley has 860 career points. She needs five more to move into the second spot in school history.

Empire senior Grant Plouck is now 80 points behind Deion James (1,650 to 1,570) for the top spot in Raven history.

Walden Grove sophomore Conner Verdugo has 670 career points. At his rate, he could be the fourth player from Southern Arizona to break 2,000 career points.
