Odalis Orduno (Pima)
Pima Community College softball pitcher Odalis Orduno (Desert View) received a national accolade for the week of Feb. 8-14.
Orduno, a sophomore pitcher, was selected NJCAA National Division II Pitcher of the Week after being named ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday.
Orduno made three appearances out of the four games as she got two wins and a save. She pitched 12 innings and gave up one earned run with five strikeouts. Her best game was Pima’s 8-1 win at Mesa where she pitched a complete game giving up six hits, no earned runs with two strikeouts and one walk.
Orduno is 5-2 with a 2.35 ERA with 22 strikeouts. She has three complete games in 38.2 innings pitched.
