Seven softball and baseball section races still up for grabs

Here are the races for the various sections from Southern Arizona in both baseball and softball with a few days left in the regular season. The AIA bracket show is scheduled for Thursday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m.

SOFTBALL

Division II
Section I: No. 3 Sahuaro (Champions)
Section IV: No. 1 Ironwood Ridge (4-0) to play at No. 2 CDO (4-0) on Tuesday, April 26.

Division III
Section II: If No. 13 Douglas (7-1) beats No. 26 Nogales (5-3) on Tuesday they will be section champs. No. 12 Empire (6-2) needs Douglas to lose and the Ravens need to beat No. 36 Flowing Wells (2-6) on Tuesday.

Division IV
Section III: No. 1 Benson (10-1) will be section champs if they beat No. 12 Willcox (8-3) on Monday. No. 2 Pueblo (10-1) needs Benson to lose while the Warriors beat No. 18 Tanque Verde (6-3) on Wednesday.

Division V
Section II: No. 4 Valley Union (5-0) needs to beat No. 18 Bisbee (2-1) on Tuesday. Bisbee has to win last two section games to make things close but the Pumas have a cancelled game on their record.

BASEBALL

Division II
Section I: No. 14 Buena (4-1) will win the section if they beat No. 33 Sabino on Wednesday. No. 6 Sunnyside (3-1) has to hope Buena loses and the Blue Devils would have to win their last two section games. No. 17 Cienega (4-2) needs Buena to lose and the Blue Devils to lose twice.
Section IV: No. 1 Salpointe (Champions)

Division III
Section II: No. 1 Nogales (Champions)

Division IV
Section III: No. 5 Pueblo (Champions)

Division V
Section II: No. 4 Bisbee (4-0) and No. 9 Valley Union (4-0) will meet on Tuesday.
Section IV: No. 5 Santa Cruz (6-0-1) still tied with several teams with three games left.
