A few AAU teams from Tucson will be in Las Vegas this week for the tournaments. The Tucson Power Basketball Academy, otherwise known as AZ Power, is bringing four different age levels — 14U, 15U, 16U and 17U. A group of 17U boys organized by the Pima Community College basketball program will also be in Las Vegas competing in the Big Foot Las Vegas Classic. Also in Las Vegas will be the Powerhouse Hoops 16U team.
A couple of noteworthy players with AZ Power with ties to the Arizona Wildcats include Lucas Elliott (Sean Elliott’s nephew) of the 15U team and Cameron Miller (Sean Miller’s son) with the 17U Red team.
