Tucson takes 2nd at American Legion regional & Pro Hammer wins at Babe Ruth World Series

Babe Ruth Baseball 18U World Series
Ephrata, Washington: Aug. 6-13

Kino/Pro Hammer defeated Blue Lick, Kentucky (Ohio Valley) 6-5 in the first round of the Babe Ruth Baseball 18U World Series held in Ephrata, Washington this week.

Manny Murillo and Matt Baker went 3-for-3, Keegan Graf went 2-3, Raymond Hendrickson drove in two runs and had a double and Alvaro Barnett had a double. Jackson Rounds threw five innings for the win, Ivan Murillo saw some pitching action and Drake Bannerman threw the last two innings.

Tucson Post 7 takes 2nd at American Legion Western Regional

American Legion Baseball Western Regional Tournament
August 3 -7: Boulder, Colorado

Kyle Rivera batted .632 (12-19) to help lead Tucson to a second place finish at the American Legion Western Regional held in Colorado. Andres Hackman (.474) had six RBI as did Cameron Amparano. Amparano had a home run, Hackman and Miguel Figueroa hit two each. Trevelle Hill, Hackman and Figueroa picked up wins while Jose Contreras recorded 12 strikeouts.
