CROSS COUNTRY: Rio Rico Rattler this Saturday plus Allie Schadler leads current rankings

The Rattler Invitational is back but it will be moved from Marana to Rio Rico this year and will be called the “Rio Rico Rattler.” The Rattler will be run on Saturday, Oct. 15 as a preparation for Sectionals scheduled for the same course on Oct. 29.

Here are the current national and state rankings for the girls and boys from Southern Arizona. Rio Rico’s Allie Schadler has a state-best time of 17:01.8 which is good enough for sixth nationally:
