With the passing of the 23-man roster deadline, our NHL affiliate, the Arizona Coyotes have finalized their roster. This concludes a series of moves that have formed the Roadrunners’ roster. The Coyotes final roster can be found here.

Yesterday’s waiving of Zbynek Michalek and Klas Dahlbeck reduced the roster to 25. Defensemen Michael Stone and Kevin Connauton were placed on the Injured Reserve, and with Jarred Tinordi serving a substance-abuse suspension, the Coyotes hit the roster limit without needing to make any more moves.
After 24 hours on the waiver wire, Dahlbeck was claimed by the Carolina Hurricanes and was immediately placed on their opening night roster. Michalek, on the other hand, wasn’t so lucky; he passed through unclaimed, making the 33-year-old officially eligible to be sent down to Tucson.
Impact on the Roadrunners
As a result of clearing waivers, the Coyotes are free to assign Michalek to the Roadrunners within the next 30 days or 10 NHL games (whichever comes first). Due to injuries to Stone and Connauton, Coyotes GM John Chayka has decided to keep Michalek in the NHL. However, Michalek will almost certainly be sent down after Michael Stone’s (knee) return, which is imminent as he has already been cleared for full contact in practice.
Although no official roster has been announced on their website, count on Michalek joining the Roadrunners in the near future. The announcement will be made within the next few days, but for now, the Roadrunners’ Wikipedia page will give you a good idea of who is already on the roster. Here’s the link to their page.
