Catalina Foothills TE Max Michalczik commits to NAU

Catalina Foothills senior tight end/long snapper Max Michalczik gave a verbal commitment to NAU on Saturday. The son of University of Arizona offensive line coach Jim Michalczik, the senior is one of the top athletes in Southern Arizona. Michalczik stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 225 pounds.

Catalina Foothills is 7-2 on the year and preparing for a playoff run in the 4A Conference.

“I am so proud of Max and all the hard work he has put in,” his mother Jennifer Michalczik said. “He has a great future at NAU.”

Jennifer Michalczik was a standout volleyball player at Washington and Jim Michalczik was a linebacker at Washington State before he began his successful coaching career.
