The 26-year-old veteran center, of Trail, British Columbia, Craig Cunningham was named the first captain in Tucson Roadrunners franchise history. Hopefully, this will provide the Roadrunners with some leadership tonight as they look to extend their win streak to 5 against the Texas Stars, and take sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division. Fellow veteran forwards: Chris Mueller and Eric Selleck will serve as Tucson’s two alternate captains. Tonight’s matchup will be Cunnigham’s first game with the “C” on his sweater.

The Roadrunners have three games left on their current five game home-stand.; One tonight vs. the Texas Stars, and two this weekend against the Ontario Reign (Friday and Saturday night). All three games will be played at the Tucson Convention Center and will start at 7:05 PM.

This weekend’s games against the Reign will be a big test for this young Roadrunners team as we are currently tied with them for first in the division.
