All-Southern Arizona standout Alec Bon announced his commitment to play for Mesa Community College after his visit to the campus on Thursday. The Salpointe lineman had a major role in opening up the holes for the vaunted Lancer rushing attack.

“This means a lot to my parents and I owe so much of it to them,” Bon said. “All their sacrifices to send me to Salpointe payed off! It’s the culmination of all of our hard work to get a scholarship.”

His father Cesar Bon had this to say, “Extremely proud of you and all your accomplishments! I know how hard you’ve worked for this opportunity. Good luck at the next level! Thanks to all the coaches, teachers and friends who have supported Alec along the way.”
