Cienega outfielder Abby Doughty commits to Utah Valley

Cienega outfielder Abby Doughty announced her commitment to play for Utah Valley on Wednesday afternoon. The junior hit .442 last year with 24 RBIs, 11 doubles, six triples and five home runs.

“As you know all too well, these club softball players work so hard and sacrifice so much to get to the next level,” her mother Shelly Doughty said.

“We’re so very grateful for all the coaches and family members over the years that have helped Abby accomplish her goal of playing D-I softball. We are excited that Abby will be playing for Coach TJ Hubbard and the Utah Valley University program and Abby, we are so very proud of you! Well done Sweetie!”
