Cienega freshman short stop/catcher Blaise Biringer accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Mississippi this past week according to her mother Jackie Yocupicio.

Biringer plays club ball with the Oro Valley Suncats, coached by Todd Judge.

“Blaise has accepted an athletic scholarship to Ole Miss to play softball for the Rebels,” Judge wrote. “Blaise will be the first player from the Sun Cats to play in the SEC. This is a huge accomplishment for her and the program! I am so happy for her and her family!

“This 16U is stacked with great players and the hard work they have been putting in is starting to pay off. To Blaise and her family, a big congratulation. Enjoy the night! We are all very proud of you. Hard work pays off!”
