CDO’s Chelsey Murphy to run for Western State Colorado

Canyon del Oro hurdler Chelsey Murphy committed to Western State Colorado University on Monday.

“It means a lot to me and my family. It’s always been a life goal to get this far, so far,” Murphy told AllSportsTucson.com.

“Having this amazing opportunity to continue my academics and my passion for hurdling at Western State Colorado University is a true blessing. Thank you for all the support from my friends, family and coaches for pushing me beyond my limits and believing in me from the beginning.”

Murphy is also a standout basketball player for the Dorados.
