Arizona commit Turner Washington breaks long-standing state discus record

Canyon del Oro standout senior Turner Washington shattered the state record in the discus throw on Saturday at the Chandler Rotary Track and Field Invitational with a distance of 215 feet, 8 inches. Washington broke the previous record – set in 1987 – by three feet.
