Former CDO standout Monique Castillo named ACCAC Player of the Week

Monique Castillo (PC)

Former Canyon del Oro infielder Monique Castillo was named the D2 Player of the Week by the ACCAC on Tuesday. Castillo (Phoenix College) had a batting average of .566 for the week. She went 6-for-9 with a double and three home runs. She drove in 10 while scoring six times.

This list was updated all year in an effort to recognize all former local prep stars who had gone on to achieve either academic and/or athletic awards at the next level. These are not high school awards but college and professional awards. NOT CHAMPIONSHIPS. If you are aware of anything I have missed along the way, please let me know.
