Ironwood Ridge standout pitcher Ray Vargas committed to play for Scottsdale Community College on Thursday. Vargas went 4-2 with 33 strikeouts in his senior year.

“It means a lot because it’s been a part of our lives for so long,” Vargas said. “My dad played baseball throughout high school and knew that’s what he wanted me to play at a young age so the fact that I will be playing in at next level means the world to me and my family!”
