The 2017 Lute Olson/Mo Tangara World Basketball Classic has started and will continue for another few days at Catalina High School.
Team China defeated Tucson’s Dream Select Team on Thursday night with the second game of the event coming Friday night. The Dream Team faces Lute Olson Tucson Select at 5 p.m.

“The game started out well for Dream Select and they did a great job in the first half,” tournament creator and founder Mo Tangara said. “But in the second half Team China played a better collective team game that helped them to victory.
“Thanks for the fan support and we’re expecting more for tonight’s game.’
The event is in its second year.
