While Arizona appears set at running back, questions remain at wide receiver. The Wildcats have a lot of bodies at the spot, but little production outside of Shun Brown. After Brown, the next three top pass catchers all graduated. The good news is that of the 15 players who caught passes last year, 11 return.
Wildcat fans also have to wonder if this is the year the tight end finally gets utilized. Last year Wildcat tight ends combined for just 12 catches, and third string (second string after the injury to Trevor Wood) tight end Matt Morin had 8 pass attempts and six rushes as a back-up QB, and no catches at his primary position.
In this edition of the Wildcast we break down the wide receiver and tight end positions and wonder if either will help Arizona’s quarterbacks look better this year.
