Catalina Foothills sophomore Selma Fereres (D-II), Pusch Ridge junior Sofia Fetsis (D-III) and the Benson (D-III) doubles team of Kay Lee Merrill and Piper Thoutt all earned top seeds in the state singles and doubles competition scheduled for this Friday in the Phoenix area.

On the boy’s side, Pusch Ridge junior Preston Grammond (D-III) earned a top seed. The Catalina Foothills (D-II) double team Mason Lee and George Jiang and the Gregory School (D-III) doubles partners Wilder Cooke and Alex Sparks will also play in the top spot.

Merrill won the 2017 D-III doubles championship with her sister Carli last year. Jiang and Grammond won individual titles last spring.
