Championship rings displayed by Foles and Romero


To the victors come the spoils, including a diamond-studded championship ring.

Former Arizona quarterback Nick Foles received his championship ring — with “MVP” engraved on it — last week during a Super Bowl Ring ceremony with the Philadelphia Eagles.

His wife Tori Foles, a former Arizona volleyball standout, took this picture of Nick:

The Houston Astros, who won the World Series last year, featured three Tucsonans — Spanish radio broadcaster Francisco Romero, pitching coach Brent Strom and bullpen coach Craig Bjornson.

Romero revealed his championship ring on social media last night:

And he later messaged me this shot of his name on the ring:

The Golden State Warriors, with Steve Kerr, Bruce Fraser and Andre Iguodala, recently won their third title in the last four years. They get another set of rings at the start of next season. Here’s a picture of Kerr’s first championship ring as coach of the Warriors in 2015 (he now has eight championships to his credit, five as a player):
