Former Mountain View standout Cody Treatch signed with Southwestern College located in Winfield, Kansas. Treatch pitched for GateWay after high school. He was named to the Carolina Shores Collegiate Summer Baseball League All-Star team in 2016 and is on his way to the NBC World Series this summer as a member of the Wellington Heat of the Kansas Collegiate League.

“Willie and I are very proud of Cody’s dedication in the classroom and his hard work on and off the field while at GateWay CC to help lead to this opportunity,” his mother Jacquie Treatch said. “We are very thankful to GateWay head coach, Rob Shabansky, for recruiting Cody to pitch for the Geckos after high school and helping him get to this point in his baseball collegiate career.”

Treatch took a redshirt season last spring and has three years of eligibility left.
