Tucson Rattlers 17U team continues to win in Las Vegas

The Tucson Rattlers 17U team kept their winning hand in Las Vegas earlier today.

The Rattlers, featuring top high school girls hoops players in the Tucson area, are now 3-0 after two wins today in the NCAA Super Showcase at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy. They are scheduled to continue tomorrow in the last day of the competition challenging for the title of their division.

In the last two tournaments, including this one and the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago, the Rattlers are 8-1.

In the first game today, the Rattlers defeated Cal Storm Elite 37-36 after Pueblo senior guard Summer Fox made a free throw with 11 seconds remaining to put them ahead. Caroline Finster, a senior guard at Ironwood Ridge, played tight defense against the player dribbling up the court and Cal Storm Elite could not get a clean shot off at the buzzer.
