The Arizona football program landed another piece to the 2019 recruiting class, when Jamari Williams announced his verbal pledge to the Wildcats on Thursday morning.
It was a busy morning for the 6-5, 275 pounder. He de-committed from Louisville before making the decision to commit to the Wildcats.
Williams is a 3-star prospect from Cardinal Gibbons HS in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is rated as the 247Composite No. 44 guard prospect in the class and the No. 1,104th best player in the 2019 class overall.
He was also considering Boston College, Mississippi State, and Kentucky among others. He is the third offensive lineman in the class joining Marana’s Jordan Morgan and Fort Scott Community College’s Rocky Aitogi.
Williams committed to Louisville last spring, and did not give a reason for backing off his commitment. He was offered by Arizona in August and has visited Tucson.
