SOFTBALL: Empire’s Reagan Grossi earns Select 50 Showcase awards plus Fastpitch Nationals updates

SELECT 50 HIGH SCHOOL SHOWCASE

Reagan Grossi was one of 50 athletes from Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah invited to the Select 50 High School Softball Showcase held in Phoenix on July 27. The Empire senior catcher/outfielder earned four recognitions that day including the “Most Valuable Player” award:

West All-Showcase MVP
West All-Showcase 5-Tool Hitting Award
West All-Showcase 5-Tool Throwing Award
West Top Under the Radar DI Recruit

Grossi batted .342 with 2 home runs, 12 doubles and 28 RBI. She was one of four players to play in all 35 games for the Ravens last year.

PREMIER GIRLS FASTPITCH NATIONALS

Oro Valley Suncats 18U Gold – Judge went 3-4 at the Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) 18U Premier Championship held in Southern California last week.

ASA FAST PITCH A 12-UNDER WESTERN

Impulse Nielson took second place at the ASA 12U A Division Western Championships held in Payson from July 25-28. The Corvallis, Oregon Lady Knights took first place.

USSSA WEST COAST NATIONALS

The Tucson Scrambles took second place at the USSSA 18U West Coast Nationals held in Southern California this past weekend. The 16U Scramblers team came in 9th place.
